Fridays at Jet Video, all titles from our Foreign section rent for $1 (for 5 nights). Also watch out for Jason!
This year, we've been getting lots of packages dropped off at our Contract Post Office already paid, the postage having been purchased on-line. "This one's all set," the customer will tell us.
While this seems like a great scenario for the customer, the problem for us is, since our CPU is paid by USPS on a commission-based system, unless we sell you the postage ourselves, we make no money on the deal.
So if you want to keep the CPU in Deering, please be sure to spend money here. Running the CPU is an extremely labor-intensive job, and we need it to make money. Thank you!
Wednesdays at Jet Video, all titles from our Horror and Sci Fi/Fantasy sections rent for $1 each (for 5 nights).

Looking to Do Some Local Gift Shopping? Try Karma Fair Trade, Next to Rosemont Market and Spiral Tree Yoga
You may have noticed the 10% off coupons on Jet's counter recently for Karma Fair Trade. We think their mission is worth supporting! Check them out in person at 570 Bright Avenue or on-line at:
Our consumer spending choices affect people's lives around the world. The products we enjoy are often made in conditions that harm workers, communities, and the environment. Fair trade provides an alternative for consumers looking for unique, beautiful, hand made products that support disadvantaged artisans and ultimately help to prevent the desperation/poverty that leads to human trafficking.
Little-known fact about Jet Video's DVD collection: while we do have two racks dedicated solely to titles we have identified as sale-only (most are $6), if you're interested, we can give you a sale price on almost any movie from our rental stacks. Let us know!
Due to a mix-up by our supplier (on top of the existing, tornado-induced delay), the following titles will be arriving at Jet Video this Friday (in time for the weekend rush):
-All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (thriller)
-Fighting for Freedom (with Bruce Dern)
-Good Ol' Freda (Beatles documentary -- see also "Living in the Material World")
-The Smurfs 2 (additional copies)
-The Wolverine (additional copies)

Thursdays @ Jet Video, titles from our Documentary/Special Interest section rent for $1 each (for 5 nights).
Liked "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz?" Try "The World's End." Same director, same writers, same stars. Fun, fun, movie -- and funny.
20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries.
Due to a delay with one of our suppliers, some of our titles may arrive on Wednesday rather than Tuesday this week.
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane
Fighting for Freedom
Good Ol' Freda
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
The Smurfs 2
Mondays at Jet Video, rent one and get one free (or a second new release for 1/2 price). (Least expensive video rents free.)
